Cathy's present location is Barnes-Jewish Extended Care Center. Today's plan was to start the chemo infusion process at Missouri Baptist Medical Cancer Infusion Center but we ran into a problem with pain management. One of the infusions (Darzolex, a targeted monoclonal antibody treatment) had to be postponed until next week. See Multiple Myeloma FAQs for more specifics on. Norco (hydrocodone + acetaminophen used to relieve pain severe enough to require opioid treatment and when other pain medicines did not work well enough or cannot be tolerated) was added for pain management and the cancer treatment will resume next week.Â
Today, she received Velcade ("chemo" anti-cancer drug) and Zometta ("bone health infusion"), but not Darzolex (targeted antibody)
